It’s time to fly away.
Fighter are a new addition to Pacific War Zone.
Found at specific locations on the new map, they allow you and another player to hover over the map, track enemy locations, and engage in air combat.
If that sounds too powerful to you, don’t worry – you can also easily bring down planes with anti-aircraft guns.

Warzone Airplane Locations: Where can you find airplanes in Warzone?
Aircraft locations are mostly located near airstrips, with two key locations where you’ll each find a handful of planes. However, there are others dotted around that could also be overlooked.
At a glance, here they are on the map:
In detail, you can find aircraft locations at the following locations, going clockwise …
Runway (several on the airstrip, northeast of the map):
South of Fields (unique on the small airstrip, south of the map):
Aerodrome (multiple at both ends of the large airstrip, southwest of the map):
Mines (unique on the small airstrip, west of the map):
Arsenal (unique on the road, northwest of the map):
Warzone plane controls: How to fly planes in Warzone?
To pilot an airplane, approach it as you would any other vehicle and press the Square button (on PlayStation) / X button (on Xbox).
Use the left analog stick to take off and use the right stick to fly. There are also additional controls, including weapons and a free camera, including:
- Movement speed – Left stick
- Watch / ride – Right stick
- Fire – Right trigger / R2
- Zoom / Aim Down – Left trigger / L2
- Pneumatic brakes – Left bumper / L1
- Free gaze with camera – Right bumper / R1
- Change seat – Button A (Xbox) / Button X (PlayStation)
A key feature that you don’t have to turn on is a speed camera that adds other players to your display. Just drop down to the bottom of the map and anyone else nearby will be temporarily highlighted with a red indicator – useful if you want to bail out and engage personally, or have the rest of your team on the ground while you take to the skies.

How do anti-aircraft guns work in Warzone?
To counter the arrival of planes in Warzone, you can use anti-aircraft guns.
These are dotted around the Warzone map more sporadically and can be quickly identified with a telltale icon.
Additionally, you can find an antiaircraft gun on the back of utility trucks, which allows you to take them with you and position them in places the trucks are not stationary.
For those who don’t like airplanes, we have found them to be surprisingly effective – bringing down planes quickly if they are flying directly above us.
Good luck flying – or destroying – planes in Warzone!
